AltoVerde today proudly announces the launch of its website, AltoVerde.com, timed to go live as initial seed funding is being raised and in anticipation of a further UK crowdfunding campaign later this year. Incorporated in the UK, AltoVerde is headquartered in Europe, with a pool of unrivalled, proprietary genetics and expertise in cannabis genetics (breeding and cultivation). Its founders strongly believe that the gradual liberalisation of cannabis in Europe presents a rare commercial opportunity to establish a venture in an industry where output capacity is still minimal versus projected demand.
AltoVerde’s mission is to de-stigmatise and promote the acceptance and use of cannabis products amongst the medical community as well as the population at large. This will be achieved through scientific research and innovation, and by producing high quality cannabis-based medicinal, wellbeing and recreational goods.
With initial profit from the wholesale distribution of very attractively priced CBD, AltoVerde has branded cosmetic and wellbeing products in the pipeline and plans on applying for Novel Food certification. Furthermore, with strong connections in the medicinal cannabis world, the company intends to compete in the provision of medicinal grade cannabis to private cannabis clinics. Extraction facilities, laboratories and grow operations are in the planning stage with the company’s horticultural team.
Mitesh Makwana, AltoVerde’s chairman, explained:
